Thats a good explanation Cameo, but it has to be noticed that JWS are at times over emotional on many things and in many situations,
because they are constantly being put under a magnifying glass themselves and they are instilled with all of the many evils and worldly things
that are supposedly around them.
This in itself creates and promotes a judgmental attitude on just about everything, particularly in the way they conduct and express themselves. .

or if there is one already...point me to it...the longer i am here...the more i realize that the fds/wt may have started with good intentions like maybe the pharisees did....but they went nutso and added a zillion things not even in the bible and so have the fds...some of these things are minor and some are not...like".
1. hatred of mens facial hair and sideburns (privileges witheld if you have too much or wrong style) also length of mens hair.
2. clothing requirements, ties/jackets/suits mandatory for ministry/talks/privileges....and sisters can freeze there ass of rather than wear a hilliary clinton pantsuit or they can not be on the school.

there are close to 7 million baptised jehovah's witnesses in the world.
most start off real zealous in meeting attendance and preaching work.
some remain zealous but most cool off sooner or later.
Quite a few I would imagine go through the motions for appearances and the newly indoctrinated may come off as being zealous for a time,
only to slow down after the ignorance and half truths become apparent .
I would peg the members in my old hall at @ 30% but that varies of course from hall to hall.
